Raceport
Account Deletion
Last updated:
You can delete your account in the Raceport app, developed by Albert Medya Yazılım ve Dijital Yayıncılık Hizmetleri A.Ş., at any time, either in the app or by e-mail. This page explains how to do it, what is deleted, and what is kept and why.
Delete in the app
1. Open the Raceport app and sign in to your account.
2. Tap Profile in the bottom menu, then Settings.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Confirm by tapping Delete account in the dialog that opens.
Deletion happens as soon as you confirm and cannot be undone.
Request by e-mail
If you cannot access the app (for example, you lost your device or uninstalled the app), send an e-mail with the subject “Account deletion request” to support@albertsoftware.com.
So that we can find your account, include your display name, your handle and the e-mail address you used with Sign in with Apple. We may ask for more information to confirm that the account is yours.
An anonymous account used as a guest holds only your language preference and device name. You can ask for these to be deleted in the same way.
What is deleted
- Your profile data: display name, handle, city, sports, gender and birth year.
- Your Sign in with Apple link and the e-mail address saved with it.
- Your sessions: you are signed out on every device where your account is signed in.
- Your connections with people you follow and who follow you, your blocks and your community memberships.
- Your personal calendar feed link; calendars subscribed to it stop updating.
- Result-match suggestions shown to you.
- Your plans are withdrawn and no longer shown to anyone.
- Your result claims are revoked; approved results are removed from your career.
- If you signed in with Apple, Raceport's authorisation for your Apple account is also revoked on Apple's side.
What is kept and why
- Race results: results that organisers and timing companies publish publicly are source data, not your account data, so they stay on Raceport as published by the source after you delete your account. You can still exercise your rights about these results as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Reports: reports you made and reports made about you are kept to preserve the moderation record. Your name does not appear on reports you made.
- Club announcements: announcements you wrote as a club admin remain as the community's announcements; they never showed your name.
- Data the law requires us to keep: records we must keep by law, and server logs containing IP addresses, are kept only for those purposes and for as long as required.
- Backups: deleted data is removed from backups automatically when the backups reach the end of their own retention cycle.
Timing
When you delete in the app, all of the above happens as soon as you confirm.
We carry out e-mail requests within thirty days at the latest after confirming that the account is yours, and let you know when it is done.
If you sign in with Apple again after deleting your account, a new, empty account is created; the deleted account cannot be restored.
